The Ninety Day Reset

Stop Abandoning Yourself. Start Choosing You.

A 90 day 1:1 coaching container for men ready to stop hiding behind information, preparation, and everyone else's approval.

Imagine walking into any room, any conversation, any risk, completely grounded in who you are. No longer up in your head trying to control the uncontrollable, predict every outcome, prepare for every scenario. Just unshakably present, with your work, with your family, with yourself. Unshaken by whether they like you, whether they say yes, whether it works out. Not because you stopped caring what happens. Because your worth stopped depending on their answer.

The Pattern

You did everything right. Followed the rules, made the safe choice, kept everyone happy. So why does it still feel like something's missing?

You know you're capable of more. You've known it for years, watching other people build the life, the business, the relationship you know you have it in you to build, while you stay one more year in the job that was never really yours, or the pattern that was never really you.

Somewhere along the way, your self-worth started running on things you don't actually control. What people think of you. How much you make. How far along you're supposed to be by now. So you walk into a room and immediately start scanning, what do they think of me, am I coming across as enough. You self-abandon everywhere, in relationships, in the promises you make yourself and quietly let slide. Even something as small as picking a hotel for a trip turns into hours of back and forth, because part of you believes there's a piece of information out there that guarantees you won't get it wrong.

And underneath all of it, there's a quieter pattern: you procrastinate the action that would actually change things. Not with laziness, with preparation. More research, more books, more plans, changed plans, never the real move that puts you out there and risks rejection, risks people thinking less of you, risks the feeling of not being enough.

You hide in the gathering stage and call it progress.

Why This Happens

Nice guy syndrome doesn't happen alongside overthinking. It causes it.

Somewhere back as a kid, a question got installed that's still running you: who do I have to become to get love here? For a lot of nice guys, the answer was someone with no needs, the fixer, the peacekeeper, easy, not like an angry father or a chaotic sibling. That strategy worked once.

The problem is it never got the memo that you grew up. It still thinks its job is making sure everyone in the room is okay with you, so it never lets you relax. It's scanning constantly, what are they thinking, what should I say, how do I land this so they see me as good. That's not anxiety floating in the abstract. It's a specific kind of control, trying to predict people so you can manage what they think of you.

The overthinking was never separate from the nice guy pattern. It is the nice guy pattern, running in your head instead of in the room.

The Shift
Before After
BeforeRejection feels like proof I'm not enough
AfterRejection is just information: they didn't want this, it says nothing about who I am
BeforeNeeds a yes to feel okay about himself
AfterNeeds the rep, not the yes: showing up is the win, the outcome isn't the point
BeforeChasing the next book, podcast, or teacher to finally feel like enough
AfterGrounded in his own values, a devotional man who doesn't bend and break with every wind
BeforeStayed years past knowing it was over because being alone meant facing his own mind
AfterChooses solitude without fear now, because his own company finally feels like home

There was a night I was 11 years old, alone in a park after dark, waiting for my dad to pick me up from soccer practice. He forgot. That story, that I wasn't quite important enough to show up for, became the operating system I ran for the next two decades without knowing it.

So I did what any good nice guy does. I performed. I pleased. I became a stand-up comedian in LA, chasing validation hits from strangers in dive bars, convinced that if I got famous enough, someone would finally be proud of me. I said yes when I meant no. I smiled when I was dying inside. I was everybody's favorite guy and completely invisible to myself.

Then I got married, and the pattern followed me right in. I told myself I was being supportive by never asking for more. What I was actually doing was swallowing my needs and slowly disappearing. When I finally asked my wife to meet me halfway and she said no, I did the hardest thing I'd ever done. I chose myself. I walked away from someone I was still very much in love with.

Then came the real breaking point. I moved abroad thinking enough distraction would fix what was broken. It didn't. When you stop running, everything you've been running from is right there waiting. The shame. The grief. The mind that never stopped spinning. Sexual trauma from childhood I'd buried so deep I didn't know it was there. A body so disconnected from itself that intimacy never felt safe, something that showed up as psychological ED I spent years covering up with pills instead of asking why.

I wasn't broken. I was completely disconnected.

The shift came in a plant medicine ceremony, sitting with one intention: show me the pain so I can move through it. I saw the people who hurt me most as children carrying their own unhealed wounds. And I understood that staying in victimhood wasn't protecting me, it was keeping me powerless.

Over the next four years I threw myself into the work. Men's circles. Retreats. Somatic work. Training under Connor Beaton and Dr. Robert Glover. I started facilitating circles, and every time I said the thing I was most ashamed of out loud, another man in the room exhaled, like he'd been holding his breath waiting for someone to say it first. That became my mission.

I'm not teaching you something I studied from the outside. I'm teaching you something I climbed out of, and I'm still climbing.

Anxiety, Overthinking & Ruminating Brain

Real Men, Real Results
Before working with Joey, I had things constantly ruminating in my head that were only holding me back. Through his work, I realized those patterns were self-limiting, and that I always had the power to change them. I came out feeling stronger, more connected, and with a genuine sense of pride in how far I'd grown.

I was struggling to express my needs to people in my life and carrying a lot of anxiety because of it. Working with Joey changed that. I feel less anxious, happier, and it's just easier to move through the world now. I'd recommend this work to any man who identifies as a nice guy, you can't do it alone.

Joey created a space where it was safe to be honest about the ways nice guy patterns had impacted my relationships and my life. The biggest revelation was realizing it's okay to have boundaries, to express what you want, and to stop people-pleasing. Joey leads by example, his vulnerability and willingness to do his own work makes him a great coach and leader.

Why This Is Different

Most coaching containers give you guidance and send you on your way. Insight, then silence. No follow-through once the call ends. Nobody to catch you when the old pattern pulls you back next Tuesday.

This container runs on three things working together, not one.

01

A coach who's lived this exact pattern and knows exactly where you'll want to quit.

02

Weekly practices and real accountability between sessions, not just insight, actual tracking of whether you did the work.

03

And the Colosseum, a men's community built for exactly this: a place to put down what you're carrying and do hard things alongside other men who are stepping up, becoming better husbands, fathers, partners, and leaders, holding each other to it.

Most of us were taught that competition was the only way to relate: my gain at the expense of yours. Men lost something in that trade. Real brotherhood means doing hard things alongside other men, being truly seen, and being held accountable by people who won't let you hide. The Colosseum is built on the opposite idea. Men fight alongside each other, not against each other, because the real arena is the battle with yourself. It's for men devoted to their mission, vision, and purpose, and like anything worth doing, it mirrors back what you put in.

You get full access to the Colosseum for all three months, included. Most men don't leave when the coaching ends. They stay on at $100/month, because once you've felt what it's like to not carry this alone, it's hard to go back to carrying it by yourself.

How We Work, 90 Days

Weekly 1:1 calls. We name your specific pattern, freeze, fawn, flight, or fight, and catch it live instead of after the fact. Daily nervous system practice, not talk therapy, actual retraining. We take it out of theory and into your real life, the sales call, the conversation with her, the thing you keep preparing for instead of doing.

By day 90, you're not analyzing yourself from the outside anymore. You're acting like the man you already know you are.

FAQ

Is this therapy?

No. This is coaching, focused forward, on building a practice and tools you use going forward. If you're in acute crisis, this isn't the right fit, and I'll tell you that directly on the call. If you're in crisis right now, please call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or call 911 in an emergency.

What if I've already done therapy and read the books?

Good, that means we skip the education phase and go straight to the part that actually changes things: doing it differently in real time.

Do I need to have it figured out first?

No. If you already had it figured out, you wouldn't need this. Come as you are.
